Deaths in Yellowstone June 22, 2010

Well, it been a crappy yet good week, if that’s even possible?

My car is dead once again and they cant find any parts for it. so it looks more and more like I am going to get a new one. I need to this car is killing me slowly. the Problem is the break fluid is leaking and that’s a big bad thing so… i will just have to wait and see.

But on the bight side Dav *who has yet to run screaming from me* has been driving Linzy and me around on one of are days off. we went and did all the thermal fetchers from Noris to Old Faithful, we some how hit all the geysers as they were going off, they pee’d on Linzy and me but we had fun and got sun burns. had diner at the old Faithful inn. was great, and very romantic for 3 people. lol But hafe way to morning glory it started to rain…Linzy was in a Tank top, she was not happy. but we got there and back to see old faithful go off a sec time. got a funny pic of it looking like its shooting out of my mouth lol.

But the next day we had are first bear killing, it was about 50m miles out side of the north east entrance, a man who had been told that there was a bear back their with a kill and it was marked off still went and stumbled upon the bear just as he was waking, sadly the bear had to be put down too for some jerks mistake. we sold a ton of bear spray that day.

Yesterday I rangerd for a bit we talked about what was going on in the park and just down in are little Vally south of us we had a hug herd of Bison moving very slowly across the road plus a mom Griz with her 3 cubs. so on my lunch Dav , Jess and i hoped in his car looking but there were all gone. we dropped Jess off and head up Dunraven pass. we saw all this people looking out but they had big scopes and binoculars out. so i knew we would never see anything.
we turnaround about 1/2 down the other side as we come back *i am still in my ranger Uniform* i stop and ask whats going on. there 20 people with for a mom Griz and her 2 cubs to come walking by. I give them the whole if they get close back up and all That jazz. and we keep driving on, its an nice day so I have my arm slung out the window just looking up at the sky when i look down and a Grizzly is right next to my arm, I scream stop and Yell at Dav to turn around. he dose we get some Cute pics and then i yell at him to turn around. The baby didn’t want to flip a U on a Calif… so we drive back to a turn out and by the time we get back there gone…

I had back to finish up 2 more hours of Rangering and then head out.

After dinner were having a Baseball game. lets just say i suck at it. I was on first Base but i got plowed over 3 times. then they moved me to the Catcher, were i all most got slammed in the face my a fast ball. so they told me to go site down, i did hit the ball when i went up to bat though.

Working late again this week so i will not be able to call you Michelle.

O Mom I found the camping area we stayed at when we came through here. its at lake.

I am putting up my Birthday / Christmas’s list up her just encase someone anyone would like to give donate it to me.

1) a new car,
2) a Camera with a great zoom on it like over 1000 yards. or better.
3)binoculars or a Sniper scop dad.
4) anything from REI or hiking gear.

water water every where but dont mess with the bison June 14, 2010

Well i dont know what my last post was or when but lets see,

So I can walk with out limping now! i have drank more in the last week then a have ever in my life. we went out to the locle pub and had a few, then i found out i had left my keys at the dorm and had to run back before my co workers went to bed, scared Andrya to death, opps.
next day went out looking for animles found none but did find a great little hike i can do on my 2 and 1/2 hours off. still not losing anything i am stuck at this stupid number. ugggg

went to a bonfire at the RV site and had like 10 shote of jack, patron and something els. walked home in the dark down a rd….made it back alive! The next night I said I would be DD and we went down to lake to get away from everyone and when we got there …..everyone was there. played ping pong with linzz and went home with dude yelling in the back, hoping the girl next to me will not through up on me.

So we go to work the next day and Andry tell me she went white water Rafting for $15. I jumped on the like white on rice! so david, linzz and me went to Raft on the yellowstone river. it was GREAT! it was class 3 and lowers *trying to go to class 4 and 5 next* was about 2 and 1/2 hours and about 8 miles long. after frezzing in the river we went to chico hot springs, got cooked in it. had dinner there and then went home to bed.

Today I rangered some more and we had a grizz out be hind the dorms. it was cool. a woman got gorded today getting to close to a Bison, Baka.

later i am going to hike to cascaed lake it about 5 miles.

I want to sleep.

Well lets just say things are not great but there not bad. it is raining none stop here. so on said rainy day we, Dav, jenn, crist and Auston went hiking down uncle tomes trail….all 800 feet down on see- through metal starecase and back up all 800 feet. then we hicked to hidden hot springs anf Gysers…by this time I know i am dighrated and dav stays with me as we fallow the monkys way up ahead. well I see flowers on the side of the trail and want to get a pic…i cant, i got water from the railing i was death griping to get back up the stupid trail. so now i have a dead camra. it still will not turn on. o well i need a new one. any way so back to the trail, dav and i are now way back from the person caring the bear spray. werew hoping there still on the trail that we are on and have not left us. as were hiking we here a strang sound. it sounded like a ball landing on the floor and slowly comeing to a stop. to say it freaked us out is an understaement. after hiking a little bit fast we finaly meet up with are friends, who are in thew middle of a feld of gysures….after we found the trail and got of the scare this ground can break at any moment it was smoth saling from there.

it has been 4 day since this hike and i still hurt so much i limp down the stares. my thighs hurt a lot. but today i am joining the 100 miles hiking club today.

I did some more Rangring today, just for a little bit cuz I had to work at noon.

uggg i got back 4 pound since last week. T,T

Pain and crying on the side of the raod, June 7, 2010

Well, shit

ugggg i hate this right now.

So yesterday was a great day untell the end. Linzz and i went out over Dunraven and we saw 7 bears, the Famous mama bear with her 4 babys! so freaking amazing! saw prong dear and Elk with gain horns.

but my light for the break came on, then i left my Pures on top of my car…luckly the Rangers found it and i got it back with every thing in it, Goddess bless them.

But my car is in the shop cuz it’s leaking break fluid. I am hoping the guy can call VW and get the part and its not a ton of money. frankly i am thinking about getting a new car, this one is bleeding me dry and at this point in time i dont even think i can get out in the winter.

so if you know of anyone wanting to get ried of there truck or car thats in good shap, come on up to yellowstone and bring the car/truck with you.

Bears, birthdays and Rangers o my! June 5, 2010

Went hiking the other day with David, Jennifer and Auston. Both were curpted by David and me but they had a good time. I ask linzz if she wanted to come but she had to head to a Meeting.we went hiking at Storm point , one of my fav places, nice and easy.  had a good old time but they had bear warrings up but i had my bear spray on me so off we went…trying to beat the night. Dont want to be out at night in bear warring area cuz thats when they walk on the trails, so we went some what fast. About  3/4 of the way though we found very freash traks. we saw people leave the tail head when we walked in, so we did have a bear with us but I didn’t see it but saw the big traks. On the way home, we pulled up to a bunch of people watching the river we didnt see anything untell movment cot my eye in the river. we drove up and lo and behold its a black bear, he swims across and run across the road right infront of us. my camra sucks so my pic’s are all blury….

Yesterday, I finaly got the good news that I will be working next door with the Rangers as a Volentter Rangers in the Vistor Center. I will be starting on Monday! ^_^ I am sooo happy! will get pic’s of it and soon I hope to get pic of my store and of me.

But last night was a friends Birthday as well as the opening of the employee Pub, well finaly got drunk, i had 5 bottles of Mike hard lemonaid and 2 shots of something… walked back in the dark with said birthday boy and shoved him into his room, finaly went to bed but woked up this morning just fine.

So tonight i hope to take lizz on a drive and hope to see something.

Fast week June 3, 2010

Well, man i got to say sorry , wordpress is not likeing the Internet up here and i am cheating to get this up, so on with the show right

today Linzy Finlay comes and i have talked with the higher ups to see if we can have one day off together. she docent’s know it but were going hiking tonight.

lets see, well i have seen the wolf pack of otters creek and have named them *i know they have park names but we all name the animals up here* so the Black one is Night, the withe one is Snow flack and the gray one is Quick Silver.
a few days ago they tried hunting down a baby elk but the mom chased them off so instead they dug up the coyotes den and sadly killed all the pups.. on the other side over dubraven pass, the coyotes had stranded another mom wolf and were trying to get at the pups but she called her pack home and they destroyed the coyotes.

we have a Miracle bear mama, she has 4 cubs and i believe a Biologist is fallowing her around. normally grizz only have 1 or 2 cubs but 4! wow!

I am starting to think people leave there brains at home when they come here, exceptionally the Foreigners. they other day when i saw my mama bear and her 3 week old cub this asshole was harassing her so bad i almost got out of my car and hit him. i yelled mostly at him, but the # 1 thing not to do in front of Morgan is to hurt or hurrays the animals , i hit first then though ur body down a dark hole.

speaking of body’s. we all ready had are first deaths here at canyon. 2 morons tried to go repelling in the canyon in may with lots of ice and of snow….lets just say there bodys hung there for a few days tell the copter cud air left them out. we had a missing hiker who turned out to be a Suicide… and 9 people yesterday day were hit by lightning at old faithful.

o BTW Obama is coming to the park to help with the opening of the new visitor center at old faithful. i am going to go just cuz i can… if i don’t work….lol

well that whats going on in the park let see what i have been up too.

i have gone on some short hicks, it’s been wet and snowing a lot so i am trying to hold off on the hicks but i am at the point were i am like F this, and head out.

Davie and i Now have one day off so it look like in will have one day to keep up with the Mt Goat as i have nicked named him.

i have order some very good high end hiking shoes at over 70% off. were talking 200 $ shoes for 28 bucks!

mom i am down to 289.

I went to the hot springs the other day and that was so much fun! went with a bunch of co workers. the only thing that sucked was i had to drive home..though yellowstone at night were things like to jump out at you. pluss i was sleepy. but we made it home and i did have a good time.

I am eather dehirated or not use to a the altatuded cuz i keep getting small disy spells…

well thats all for now, i willl try and up date more then once a week.
